Giving To Others Creates Joy and Satisfaction In My Life
JOYELY Ever after

Giving to others create Joy

When you are helping others, giving of your time resources, how does it feel? Joyful? Or JOYELY as we say here!

When you you fully take up a project expecting nothing in return, feeling joyful is natural, easy and powerful. By giving time, money, food, or kindness to people in need you have captured the essence of joy, of living of truly making joy a priority. Giving to others is a quality — like honesty and patience — that we all probably wish we had more of. When you show generosity, you might give away things or money or put others before yourself.

The good feeling you get from doing something for someone else acts on your body the same way physical exercise does, releasing a flood of endorphins that make you feel joy. This hormone rush is the “helper high” that many people report feeling.

Since you get more joy but of giving to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give. As there is a famous saying:
“As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way.”

Life’s persistent and most urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”
I am a loving, caring individual. I have regard for others as well as for myself. When I see others in need, I cannot help but feel compassion for their situation.

Seeing others in distress reminds me of times in my life where I have received help too.

Since then, I find that the joy in giving is just as great as in receiving. Seeing worried looks turn to tears of joy because of my help is a priceless gift!

I look for ways to give to others.

Giving can be as simple as donating a few dollars or spare change to a worthy cause. I can go out of my way to look for a coworker or friend who needs to be cheered up. Or I can donate my time through volunteer work.

It always makes me happy to see the joy of others who have received my gifts.

Today, I am certain to find at least one way in which I can give to someone in need. Whether I donate money or simply provide a listening ear, I know that the resources it takes are small compared to the happiness that I receive in return.

As I give to others, I remember that giving not only creates joy in my life but also that paying it forward creates kindness around the world.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. Are there organizations within my community in which I could volunteer?
  2. Have I given of myself to others in the past? How did it feel?
  3. Are there ways in which I have been the recipient of someone’s giving? How did I feel then?

Ways to bring joy in people’s lives:

Offer a genuine commendation: Numerous positive things will in general go implied. So offer somebody a genuine commendation today. It can mean particularly a lot of it’s for something that is near the other individual’s heart.

Pick flowers: It just takes a few moments yet the delight goes on for quite a long time.

Bring something decent for a break at work: Perhaps some sweet organic product, similar to clementine. Or then again, some extravagant and truly delicious tea. Or on the other hand possibly something from the nearby bread shop. This can be an enormous cheer up for someone.

Give your time: The endowment of time is regularly more significant to the collector and more fulfilling for the provider than the endowment of cash. We don’t all have a similar measure of cash, however, we as a whole have free time, and can give a portion of this opportunity to help other people—regardless of whether that implies we dedicate our lifetimes to support, or simply allow a couple of hours every day or a couple of days a year.

Some simple tools to get started can be found in our online programs, the 30-day mediation is a strong way to start. That’s a really good one. Do you feel like a morning reminder about joy? Just OPT_IN here for free JOY Coaching. See you on this side of joy!
