The Shift - The Power of Letting Go with The Chair of Joy™

Sometimes, life becomes overwhelming, and you reach a breaking point where you can no longer hold everything together. It’s okay to have a breakdown. It’s okay to let the tears flow and release the pent-up anxiety and stress that have been weighing on your soul. Even in a work situation.

Last Thursday, during our team meeting, we experienced something extraordinary. As usual, we began with the Chair of Joy Experience, expecting it to fill us with positivity and excitement. However, this time was different. Sheryl Lynn, the founder of JOYELY, had an emotional breakthrough. She broke into tears during the Chair of Joy Experience, and her emotions remained present throughout the meeting. Instead of proceeding with our regular agenda, we decided to pause and talk openly about our feelings and the importance of allowing ourselves to experience every emotion, both the joyful and the challenging ones.

We recognized that we are all human, and it’s natural to have moments when it feels like we can’t keep going. But, here’s the beautiful truth: These moments of vulnerability can also be turning points in our lives. They can lead to breakthroughs, inspiring new ideas, and igniting a renewed sense of purpose.

Last Thursday was such a pivotal moment for Sheryl, for each one of us, and for JOYELY as a whole. Our brand is more than just a global entity; it’s a way of life—a lifestyle brand. We are not afraid to embrace vulnerability and support one another through the highs and lows. This unique bond unites us despite being scattered across different parts of the world.

At JOYELY, we wake up each morning with the same vision, believing in it wholeheartedly and working together to bring it to life. We persevere through challenges and celebrate victories as a team. We understand that sometimes, we need to take a step back and be there for each other emotionally, just like we did for Sheryl last Thursday.

As we continued sharing our experiences and struggles during that meeting, something magical happened. Sheryl’s energy began to shift. Surrounded by support and genuine connection, she found solace in humor, releasing the weight she had been carrying. Laughter echoed in the room, and we all felt a deep sense of unity.
