21. Increased profits: A culture of joy can contribute to increased profits since people are more likely to stay with the company, be productive, and increase customer satisfaction.

Research has increasingly shown that creating a positive, joyful workplace culture can have a significant impact on a company’s bottom line. A culture of joy can contribute to increased profits for businesses that prioritize joy seeing a 50% reduction in staff turnover (Sandra Wilson, Robeez Footwear). Additionally, businesses that prioritize joy can see an increase in overall customer satisfaction, with a 5% increase in customer satisfaction reported by businesses that prioritize joy. The study also showed that happier employees led to higher customer satisfaction and loyalty, resulting in increased sales (Donald Cooper, 2022). Finally, a study by the Harvard Business Review also found that joy-filled companies are more likely to succeed than more traditional companies.

One study found that happy employees are up to 20% more productive than unhappy employees. When it comes to salespeople, happiness has an even greater impact, raising sales by 37%. But the benefits don’t end there. 

A study published in the Journal of Retailing found that employees who were more positive and engaged with their work were more likely to provide better customer service, which led to increased customer satisfaction and sales for the company. Another study published in the Journal of Business Research found that companies with a positive work environment had higher levels of customer satisfaction, which led to increased sales.
