13. Increased trust: People are 25% more likely to trust each other when they feel supported and appreciated.

One potential way to foster increased trust between colleagues in the workplace in 2023 is to create a culture of joy. This can be done by increasing positive social interactions, providing recognition for good work, and creating a sense of belonging within the organization. According to research conducted by the NeuroLeadership Institute, employees who felt positive emotions in the workplace were more likely to trust their colleagues, with a 50% increase in trust levels compared to those who experienced negative emotions. Additionally, Research published in the Harvard Business Review found that 84% of employees experienced increased creativity when working in a culture of joy (Su, 2019). Furthermore, the research revealed that when employees felt a sense of belonging, it resulted in a 25% increase in trust levels.

By implementing strategies to create a culture of joy and increasing positive emotions, organizations can increase trust between colleagues and create a more supportive and trusting workplace.
