The Labyrinth: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life

Nine-Circuit Labyrinth Design

The labyrinth at Clark County Wetlands Park in Henderson, Nevada, is a nine-circuit design, one of the oldest patterns in history. The nine paths represent layers of awareness and stages of transformation. As you walk, each turn invites reflection—on mind, body, emotion, and spirit. There are no wrong turns here, only the rhythm of going inward and returning renewed.

A Timeless Symbol of Journey

The labyrinth has existed for over 4,000 years across cultures worldwide. Unlike a maze, it has no dead ends—a single, winding path inward and back, symbolizing life's continuous flow of learning and renewal.

A Practice of Presence

Ancient traditions used labyrinths for meditation and deep reflection. Walking the path slows the body and focuses the mind, creating a moving form of stillness.

Connection of Body and Spirit

The rhythm of walking engages the body while freeing the mind. Each turn represents a shift in perspective, helping us move from thinking to feeling, from reaction to intention.

A Safe Path to Transformation

Historically built in sacred spaces—cathedrals, temples, gardens—labyrinths offer a way to process emotion, release burdens, and return to clarity.

About Your Facilitator

Sheryl Lynn, founder of JOYELY® and creator of the Chair of JOY® experience

Over the past decade, I've led more than 30,000 Chair of JOY® experiences across the USA and worldwide, helping people reconnect with emotional awareness, presence, and calm. My work has evolved into the JOY Intelligence™ Framework and THE STILL COMMUNITY, both built from real-life practice and lived wisdom.

Hosting this retreat is an extension of everything I've learned and shared, where science, story, and stillness meet. We will have three Chairs of JOY® on hand, each a reminder that this work is not theoretical but alive and accessible.

For me, facilitating this gathering is both an honor and a joy. We come together to hold one another up, to gather for purpose, and to release, navigate, and process emotions in a camera-free, safe, and sacred space.
