When we slow down, we remember our humanness and realize most people seek connection. You and I can use our positive energy to help! I believe we all have something in common with everyone we meet. It might be California roots. Soccer moms. Veterans. Skiers.

A few years ago at a chamber mixer, I noticed a woman sitting alone. Mike handled high-end electrical work. Seemed like a stretch, but something told me they needed to meet. Months later, Mike told me they had helped each other and it led to friendship and revenue. Most of the time, you'll never hear the results of making connections. But you may have created a bond that lasts a lifetime, all because you slowed down to notice.

My voice was stifled growing up. The women around me were divided, broken and told me, Be quiet. Be small. It felt wrong. Much later, I made a vow: no other woman goes through that alone. Freedom from chaos allowed me to let go of shame and fear, and I finally let er rip!
