Last week, I had the incredible privilege of meeting Paul Hutchinson at the Family Office Event in Miami, FL—a gathering where people from all over the world convened to discuss impact, investments, strategies, and ways to give back. It was an extraordinary experience, with panelists representing a combined wealth of $100 billion. Among the attendees were advisors, doctors, and investors, and every conversation was packed with insights. For me, it was a chance to reflect on the value of JOYELY and how it fits into this global dialogue. But more on that later.
Let’s return to Paul. Kind and extraordinary, he is a man whose mission and message extend far beyond financial wealth. You may know him as a successful entrepreneur, but his groundbreaking work in combating sex trafficking is what truly sets him apart. If you haven’t already, I urge you to watch his video on Billionaires.com and check out the film Sound of Freedom on Prime. His story is a powerful reminder that true value lies in the impact we create, not just in the wealth we accumulate. Paul spoke candidly about a universal truth: all the money in the world won’t deliver the moments and memories that truly matter.
His work in rescuing countless victims of sex trafficking is a living testament to this. It’s not about how much money you make—it’s about how you use it to create lasting impact.
This is an important aspect of creating and maintaining mental health. Understanding that reaching and maintaining the joy within is not necessarily a direct “forward” motion. It is more like dancing the cha-cha: one step forward, two steps back; two steps forward, one step back. Our recognition of this fact allows us to give ourselves space to embrace the healing that our inner joy factor can and will create, if we mindfully choose to operate in and further develop our JOY Intelligence™. There is no stopping a person who is fully integrated with the deep, resonating joy that is inherently within us all.
We’ve all heard it before: “When I have enough money, then I’ll finally be happy.” But true fulfillment comes from moments that money can’t buy—holding your child’s hand, helping someone in need, or seeing a community thrive.
Paul’s journey illustrates that wealth becomes meaningful only when paired with purpose. His efforts to eradicate sex trafficking highlight how using resources for the greater good creates exponential value. His impact isn’t measured in dollars but in lives saved and futures reclaimed.
Here’s the core takeaway: when you focus on sharing the value of what you do, the money will naturally follow. That’s why I’m so passionate about JOYELY. Just as Paul is on a rescue mission for these young children, there’s equally critical work to be done in their mental health, care, and healing.
Too often, we get caught up chasing revenue or recognition without first considering the contribution we’re making to the world. Paul’s approach flips that script. He didn’t begin his mission with a profit motive. Instead, he asked a simple yet profound question: How can I help? By leveraging his skills, network, and resources to tackle one of humanity’s darkest issues, Paul showed that true success is about service.
Paul’s work reminded me that money alone doesn’t create those treasured, unforgettable moments. You can’t put a price tag on the joy of transforming lives or the ripple effect of lifting others. Those memories come from aligning your actions with your values and taking bold steps to make a difference.
For all of us, this is an invitation to reassess what we’re chasing. Are we running after financial milestones, or are we creating value and impact that will outlive us?
If there’s one thing I learned from Paul, it’s this: value precedes wealth. When you pour your energy into solving real problems and uplifting others, the financial rewards will follow. More importantly, you’ll discover an enduring sense of purpose.
As JOYELY continues to grow, our mission is to deliver that billion-dollar value. Through the Chair of JOY® Experience, each person who participates leaves with a profound sense of hope, belonging, and clarity. On our nine U.S. tours, thousands of people have experienced the Chair of JOY®—an impact that is both priceless and exponential.
Imagine this: if each Chair of JOY® Experience were valued at $1,000, with over 20,000 participants to date, that’s $20 million in value already delivered. And we’re just getting started. The true value isn’t in the dollar figure but in the lives touched and the joy shared.
The Chair of JOY® is offered as a gift—free of charge—because its value is immeasurable. People share their experiences with family, friends, and coworkers, creating a ripple effect of positivity and purpose. Watching how the Chair of JOY® serves people in their work, play, and personal lives is awe-inspiring.
As we look ahead, the question isn’t how much more money we can make, but how many more lives we can touch. At JOYELY, we’re committed to scaling this impact, one Chair of JOY® Experience at a time.
If you’ve ever wondered what true wealth looks like, let Paul Hutchinson’s story and the mission of JOYELY be your guide. It’s about creating value, fostering connection, and leaving the world a little brighter than you found it.
So, how many more Chairs of JOY® do we need to create that billion dollars of value? The math may give you one answer, but the joy in people’s hearts gives another—it’s infinite.
